Assignment Summary
Accessed from the Assignments page, the Assignment Summary page allows you to:
- See an overview of current assignments
- Edit assessments & grades in spreadsheet view
- View a student or assignment summary
- Email progress reports to guardians
- Export assessment details
From this page, you can also view a summary of an individual student's assessments, visit the assessments for each assignment, and access the assignment pages themselves.
View the Assignment Summary
To view the assignment summary:
- On the assignments page, click the SUMMARY button.
- A summary of all the assignments displays:
- Assignments are colour-coded by status.
- Green means the assignment has been assessed
- Blue means it has been turned in
- Grey means a draft submission has been started
- A red flag on the top right corner means the assignment was turned in late.
Export a Summary of All Assessments
You can export an assessment summary in spreadsheet format.
To export assessments or grades:
- From the Assignment summary page, click the EXPORT button.
- In the Save As dialog box, select where you would like to save the spreadsheet and click the Save button.
Your computer Edit Assessments from the Summary
Assessments can be edited right from the Assignment Summary page using edit mode. From there, you can navigate through the edits, by clicking in the boxes or using the keyboard. Once saved, your edits will re-populate to the student's assignment page.
To edit assignments:
- In the Assignment Summary, click the EDIT button.
- Click in the field you would like to edit.
- Make your changes.
- You can navigate using your mouse. You can also use the following keys:

- When you are finished editing, click the STOP EDITING button.
View Assignments for a Student
You can also scroll through to the next student using the navigation arrows.
To view a student's assignment summary:
- Click the student's name to view their assignment summary:
- From here, you can export the student assessments to a spreadsheet, print the student assessments, or send their assessments to a parent or guardian.
- To go to the next or previous student in the student list, click the student's name.
- To return to the Assignment Summary page, click the Summary breadcrumb link on the top left side of the page.
Export Student Assessments
To export a student's assessment:
- Click the EXPORT button.

A spreadsheet downloads to your computer.
Print Student Assessments
To print a student's assessment:
- Click the PRINT button.
- A printer-formatted page is sent to thew print window.
- Click the Print button.
Send Student Assessments to a Parent or Guardian
You can also send the student's assessments to the parent or guardian listed in the student information system.
To send a student's assessment to their guardian:
- Click the NOTIFY PARENTS button.
- A web-based mail message directed to the parent/guardian is created.
- You can personalize this message as you wish by clicking in the body of the message.
- Click SEND to send your message.
View all Assessments for an Assignment
To view all assessments for an assignment:
In the assignment summary header row, click on the assignment.
- From here, you can export the assignment summary to a spreadsheet, using the EXPORT button, or print the assignment summary with the PRINT button.
- To go to the next or previous assignment in the summary, click the forward or back arrow links on the top of the summary.
- To go a student's records, click the student's name.
- To return to the Assignment Summary page, click the Summary breadcrumb link on the top left side of the page.
